Confidence and being self-assured

Hey Luvs! Welcome back to my journey, If you're new here Welcome! If you haven't already read the previous post so you know what's going on, and don't forget to follow! it's a short read today!

Today's topic is about being confident and socially self-assured. You may be asking, "Why is this important? Whats does it gain me?" Confidence and self-assurance are crucial skills because they empower individuals to navigate challenges with poise and resilience. When you're confident, you trust in your abilities and decisions, which fosters a proactive approach to problem-solving and goal-setting. This self-assuredness not only enhances personal growth but also inspires trust and respect from others, facilitating better relationships and opportunities. In essence, confidence and self-assurance are the foundation for taking risks, embracing change, and ultimately achieving success in various aspects of life. And in all reality, you gain respect and trust from those around you. This is the key to being successful in a social environment. The more confident you seem, the more opportunity you're going to get from people.

How do I accomplish learning these characteristics? It's quite simple... SELF TALK!! We are constantly telling ourselves how horrible we are, or how we can't do something because it seems impossible, but guys, YOU are the only thing stopping yourself from being an unstoppable force of success. We have millions of pathways in our brains, and every time we say something about ourselves, whether good or bad, it creates a new pathway in our brains, then our brain believes what we spoke then makes our words reality. That's really scary in a way... The Bible was not joking when it says life and death are in the power of the tongue. YIKES! As someone who struggles with anxiety, I have had to learn that what I speak about myself matters, for example. One time I had symptoms of something called "TSS" aka "toxic shock syndrome" which is common in women ages 13-60 years old because of tampon use, it introduced new bacteria into the body which can lead to "TSS", a very deadly disease. I had every symptom on the list. So being the person I am, I was like "OMG I have tss I'm gonna die wtf" to the point I had multiple anxiety attacks that day while being sick and almost passed out. Turns out I had the flu. But I had talked negatively for so long that I caused my body to almost pass out from making my brain believe I had a deadly disease... Sounds stupid I know, but we all think crazy things sometimes right?.. No?.. just me... okay...

The more I learn to love myself, not beat myself up, and make room for imperfections, not only in myself but from other people. The more I can enjoy life. It has gotten me so far in learning how to speak to adults and other teens, in a confident but not cocky manner. It has gained my respect from teachers, coaches, my peers, and even little kids. As we get older these are crucial things to learn especially for job interviews, school presentations, being mentors, and even just being a good friend. Another awesome part about this is the more confident you are in yourself the more people will listen to you, take your advice, and see you as a good person or leader in their life. As someone who wants to lead people to Christ and success, these things are so important to me and I hope I can pass these life skills iv learned off to you guys!
