THE FUTURE
Hey Luvs! Its Anna! Welcome back to this little journey of mine! If you're new here make sure to read the previous post so you know what's going on.
Today's topic is gonna be "The Future". What I mean by that is I'm going to be talking about my goals and my plan for my future. But first, let's talk about why planning for your future is even important.
Planning for your future at a young age is crucial for laying a solid foundation for success and fulfillment later in life. By setting goals early on, whether they be educational, career-oriented, or personal, individuals can chart a course that aligns with their passions and aspirations. Planning allows for the development of necessary skills, the exploration of various opportunities, and the cultivation of financial stability. Moreover, early planning encourages a proactive approach to life, fostering resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges. Ultimately, investing time and effort into planning during youth not only enhances one's chances of achieving their dreams but also promotes a sense of confidence and direction that can positively influence every aspect of their future endeavors.
As far as my education goes I plan on graduating a year early, while also dual enrolling for an associate's degree in business. Graduating has always been a goal of mine because I plan on moving out and traveling when I turn 18. Graduating early can offer several significant advantages. First, it allows individuals to enter the workforce or pursue higher education sooner, gaining a competitive edge in their career trajectory. Second, it potentially reduces the financial burden associated with additional years of education, such as tuition fees and living expenses. Third, early graduates often have the flexibility to explore advanced coursework or internships that deepen their expertise in their chosen field. Fourth, it accelerates the transition to financial independence, enabling early graduates to start saving and investing earlier in life. Finally, graduating early can provide a sense of accomplishment and confidence, setting a precedent for achieving ambitious goals throughout one's career and personal life.
I have a deep-seated fear of living from one paycheck to the next and drowning in debt. This is an ongoing struggle for my family. Despite not being poor, my parents lack the financial know-how to manage our money effectively. I can see the impact this has on me and my siblings. It motivates me to strive for a better future, one where my family doesn't have to worry about not having enough money for vacations or new clothes. To achieve this, I am committed to working hard and being consistent in my efforts to gain the knowledge and funds needed to break free from this cycle. Managing finances effectively involves several key principles. First and foremost, creating and adhering to a budget is essential. This involves tracking income and expenses to understand where money is going and ensuring expenditures align with financial goals. Saving regularly is another crucial aspect, setting aside a portion of income for emergencies and future expenses. Understanding and managing debt responsibly, by paying off high-interest debts first and avoiding unnecessary borrowing, is also vital for financial health. Additionally, investing wisely to grow wealth over the long term and maintaining good credit through timely bill payments and responsible credit card usage are fundamental practices. Lastly, staying informed about financial matters, such as taxes, insurance options, and retirement planning, ensures a comprehensive approach to managing personal finances effectively.
My companies - Right now I'm working on 2 companies that are very different from each other, but things I enjoy. Company number 1 that Iv already started is "CLOUDY". cloudy is a clothing business geared towards the gym community. The income I get from Cloudy is going towards my first car, and going into a separate savings account to use in the future for funding my second company "ACEDESIGNS". Ace Designs is a home design company where I will be selling floorplans and home designs and hopefully, one day building tiny-home neighborhoods for lower-income people who need a nice home to live in. Legally I can't start selling home designs till I'm 18 but I already have my website, logo, and business plan for "acedesigns".
Lastly, let's talk about where I wanna live and settle down. Ever since the first time I went to Dallas Texas, I knew it was where I wanted to live. Fortunately, I got to live about 2 hours away from Dallas in Wichita Falls Texas for 2 years, and I lived it. My family also got to stay in Dallas for a couple months while we were in the process of adopting my little sister Layla (I'll talk more about this in the future). I think that when I really knew I wanted to live there. Dallas offers a vibrant mix of cultural attractions, culinary delights, and outdoor adventures. Visitors can explore the iconic Dallas Arts District, home to the Dallas Museum of Art and the Winspear Opera House. The city boasts a thriving food scene with diverse cuisines ranging from Texas barbecue to innovative fusion dishes. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the expansive Klyde Warren Park, which hosts free events and food trucks, or venture to White Rock Lake for hiking, biking, and sailing. Sports fans can catch a game at the AT&T Stadium in nearby Arlington, home to the Dallas Cowboys. Whether exploring its rich history or enjoying its modern amenities, Dallas promises something exciting for every visitor. It really is just an amazing place. I found a very nice penthouse building I want to live in that cost around 3k a month, so I'm hoping my income from my businesses allows for me to live there.
In all this, the most important thing is making sure we stay focused on God and praying that he shows us what he wants us to do with our lives. because in the end when we die or when Jesus comes back none of these earthly things will matter, or exist anymore. Matthew 6:19-21 says “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. This Verse always hits hard because it makes you realize how focused on money we are. So take a step back and pray that God will bring your focus back on him.
